Our experience began in 1998 with a simple, tastefully engraved birthday party invitation to a week-long extravaganza that coincided with the Millennium festivities in the City of Lights. ‘Paris 2000,’ involved a group of 28 revelers, many of whom now form the core of our ‘travel tribe.’ It was the start of a semi-annual tradition of group vacations that have taken us all over the globe: from the clear waters of Thailand to the starry slopes of the Sundance Film Festival; from the cavernous nightclubs of Ibiza to the fabled beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Tricia Nelson and Angela Kyle developed the idea for Tribe Travel
on the terrace of their rental villa on the
Greek island of Paros. They refined it six months later over caipirhinas
and fried cheese
on a stick on Ipanema Beach. Along the way,
they rallied fellow travelers Shelley Slack and Laura Werner to develop
Tribe Travels visual
identity and web presence. With professional
backgrounds in media, design and technology, the Tribe Team is hard
at work on a portfolio
of projects designed to spread the word about
the joy of group travel. Angela
